Greater Western Sydney have already experienced their first major boardroom drama as an AFL club five months out from its premiership debut after chief executive Dale Holmes was sacked on Thursday.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Holmes had fallen out with two other board members and didn't get on well with AFL officials.
Holmes was installed as GWS chief executive in March last year.
The sacking comes just hours after it was revealed the Giants had hired Phil Scully, the father of high-priced signing Tom, as a Melbourne-based recruiter.
Holmes previously worked as the CEO of AFL NSW.
